| This historic home, constructed in the mid-nineteenth century, was originally only a small house and a barn. Neffinger Architects designed an addition onto the main house that more than tripled the original size of the residence. The barn was converted into stables for the owner’s horses and a pool-house was added onto the house. The pool-house, fully enclosed, features exposed trusses and joists that catch the viewer’s eye. Adjoining the pool-house are two courtyards and a series of brick walkways. The resulting building features a smooth transition between interior and exterior spaces. |
